ABSTRACT
Vito Robbiani, after university held in Nice (France) in Communication Science and Information, started working as a journalist and then as a filmmaker. Through his production company, mediaTREE, has collaborated with several European networks, in particular: Swiss TV (RSI), Euronews, alphaTV-Greece, RTVslovenia, RAI. He teaches audiovisual techniques and documentary at the University of Applied Sciences in Lugano-Switzerland (SUPSI).

WORK EXPERIENCE
Since 1994 working as freelance journalist for swiss italian newspapers and TV journalist for: Euronews (the european information channel), RSI La1-La2 (Radiotelevision svizzera), TSR (Television de la Suisse Romande) and Suisse 4 (the former national multicultural channel).
In 1996 I founded, with italian filmmaker Alberto Veronese, the TV and film production company mediaTREE which produces documentaries for broadcast, commercial, industrial and promotional videos for private companies and where I direct, do camera work and editing. Since 1998 I am an accredited swiss professional journalist.
In 2009 I start teaching at the University of Applied Sciences in Lugano-Switzerland (SUPSI), in the Visual Communication Department.
From 1997 until 2018, I was memeber of the peacekeeping forces for the Swiss Department of Foreign Office.
I have been in election observation missions in Bosnia (supervisor - election 1997), in Macedonia (long time observer, 1998), Kazakhstan (short time observer election 1999), Serbia (IDPs registration, 2000), Macedonia (STO election 2000, 02), Tajikistan (LTO 2005), '07 STO in Sierra Leone, '09 STO in Kosovo, '10 STO in Guinea-Conakry and Haïti, '12 STO in Russia.
STUDIES
1988/92 Certificate Scientific High School, Lugano (CH)
1993/95 I majored in "Communication and Information Science" at the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis (France) in the "Art, Communication and Languages" department. This field of study focuses on the multidisciplinary approach to the communication and information field. In particular, it gives emphasis on the audio/visual approach (semiotic, art history, advertising, informatics, video and cinema).
